We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our product development team in our offices in Ecublens – Lausanne Area.
In this role, you will be working as a team to develop a new type of interactive entertainment platform. The core technology is based on our proprietary display technology. You will be participating in the entire product development life cycle from POC to PVT, which is a great opportunity for people who love hands-on work with a spirit of building from scratch. You will be the main mechanical design expert, working in an evolving team of people with various backgrounds and expertise.
This position is 100% on site.
YOUR MISSION
• Product mechanical design including the integration of motors, PCBs, light illumination units, sensors, display, projectors, etc.
• Research and develop tailored object movement mechanisms for the product, including integration and validation in the prototypes.
• Construct, test and optimize product prototypes to fulfill the requirements in different phases of product development life cycle.
• Source the required components and manufacturing services to construct prototypes with internal and external solutions.
• Participate in different aspects of product development, provide insights and solutions to overcome technical challenges.
• Perform mechanical tests and analysis on product prototypes, including environmental impact test, drop-test, failure analysis, etc.
• Identify the required certification and perform pre-certification test with internal or external resources.
• Collaborate with team members and other functional teams (e.g. industrial design, supply chain, etc.) to achieve product development objectives.
• Draft and document technical reports, analysis results, assembly and process manuals, BOMs, etc..
YOUR PROFILE
• Master’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics engineering or similar fields and >3 year working experience in the domain of consumer electronics
• Project experience in product development with, ideally participation from POC to PVT phase
• Knowledge and experience in integration of motors, actuators and sensors into products respecting the specification
• Solid skills and experience in CAD tools, e.g. Onshape or others
• Knowledge of conventional manufacturing methods, e.g. Injection molding, etc
• Familiar with research and development setting, embracing the dynamic and fast-paced work environment and change of necessity
• Out-of-box thinking mindset, proactive working attitude, and solution finding characters
• Fluent in English

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Patent Engineer to join our team in our brand new offices in Renens – Lausanne Area.
In this role, you’ll develop and execute IP strategies to protect innovations, manage patent portfolios, and collaborate with teams, users, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with global IP regulations and support innovation efforts.
This position is 100% on site.
YOUR MISSION
• Conduct patent searches and manage applications, trademarks, and copyrights for new products and technologies.
• Support in drafting and filing of utility and design patents as well as trademark protection.
• Develop and maintain a strategic patent portfolio.
• Build and analyze patent maps while monitoring competitor IP activity to identify risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with global IP regulations, perform freedom to operate checks, and provide guidance on licensing and technology agreements.
• Educate teams on IP processes and best practices and mitigate IP risks in product development.
• Engage users and stakeholders effectively to gather insights and support innovation efforts.
• Work with Product Managers and R&D Managers to align IP strategy with the product and technology roadmaps.
• Advise Industrial Designers on design-related IP protection, like design patents or trade dress.
• Collaborate with external patent attorneys for drafting and filing patent applications.
YOUR PROFILE
• BSc or MSc degree in Science, Engineering, Law, Intellectual Property Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in patent searching, filing, and managing intellectual property portfolios
• In-depth knowledge of global IP regulations, patent laws, and processes, including licensing and technology transfer
• Proficiency in using patent databases (e.g., Espacenet, USPTO, WIPO) and IP management tools
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as product management and design
• Proven ability to engage with external stakeholders or users, with a focus on innovation and IP strategy
• Previous experience in the renewable energy domain or consumer electronics is a plus
• Product management mindset, with the ability to align IP strategies with business objectives
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
