We are currently looking for a highly motivated and specialized Junior Patent Analyst Intern to join our R&D team in our brand-new offices in Renens – Lausanne Area.
In this role, you will contribute to understanding new technologies, analysing patent literature, and supporting patent-related activities such as prior art searches, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses, and invention disclosures. We offer hands-on training in patent searching and IP workflows, as well as the opportunity to develop expertise in intellectual property. This internship may lead to a full-time position.
This position is 100% on site.
YOUR MISSION
• Support prior art searches for patent filings
• Assist in Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) searches
• Support technology landscape analyses
• Read and analyse patent literature and technical documents
• Assist in understanding and summarizing technical concepts and invention
• Prepare draft summaries of technical inventions and patent documents
• Support inventors in preparing Invention Disclosure Forms (IDFs)
• Participate in technical discussions with R&D teams
• Support internal patent-related activities and documentation
YOUR PROFILE
• Master’s degree (ongoing or completed) in engineering, physics, chemistry, materials science, or another natural science discipline
• Experience working in an R&D laboratory or research environment (essential)
• Strong ability to understand technical concepts and willingness to learn to explain them clearly
• Ability to summarize technical information in a structured and concise way
• Ability to communicate effectively with researchers and engineers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity and strong willingness to learn complex topics
• Interest in intellectual property and innovation processes
• Interest in developing a career in intellectual property
• Excellent English communication and writing skills

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and specialized Polymer Scientist to join our R&D team in our brand-new offices in Ecublens – Lausanne Area.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of our rewritable HiPaper product line. Focusing on natural interaction, the rewritable HiPaper products are dedicated to leveraging material innovation to the most natural reading and writing experience in this digital era at low cost and for large areas. We aim at bringing positive impact to both human mentality and environmental sustainability. We invite people sharing the same ambition onto our journey to turn your expertise in polymer science and engineering into impactful products.
This position is 100% on site.
YOUR MISSION
• Design and develop thermal or photo-curable polymer matrices for reflective or transparent hydrochromic surfaces fulfilling product specification requirements and market regulations.
• Adjust formulation to bridge lab-scale R&D and manufacturing of hydrochromic products in terms of processing compatibility and feasibility.
• Research and develop polymeric components in reflective HiPaper display products with required optoelectronic performance and cyclability.
• Coordinate between material provision and coating formulation.
• Participate in prototype fabrication and other necessary stages in product development.
YOUR PROFILE
• PhD in polymer chemistry and materials. In-situ polymerization, thin film curing, and other relevant expertise are a must-have.
• Experienced in solution-processed thin film coating.
• Solid knowledge of fundamental properties of polymeric materials, including solubility, morphology, mechanical strength, optical and properties, photo-responsivity, electrochemical and charge-transport properties, etc.
• Strong capability of molecular design from a priori structure-property relation perspective.
• Proficient in common material characterization techniques.
• Strong literature and patent searching ability.
• Spirit of teamwork.
• Product-oriented mindset. Out-of-box thinking. Good at connecting user application scenarios with accessible R&D capabilities.
• Fluent in English.
